My prize winning photo

Last year, I entered this photo of the moon through trees in a competition my company was running for staff. The staff magazine wanted the best creative photograph taken over the Christmas and New Year break 2004/5. I won, the prize being a Fuji Finepix A-120 digital camera, which I have given to my son Richard.
The last time I won a photography competition was at the Muswell Hill Scouts show, in about 1973 or 1974.
This photo was taken with a long exposure - naturally - but entirely hand held. I had no tripod and braced myself against a wall. It's still a bit shaky.

Cornish tree (1)

While I wait for the chance to take more photos in interesting light conditions, I am going to post three images of the same scene, taken late evening on three different days. The view is from our holiday cottage just outside Truro, looking approximately south west. Our holiday was one week at the end of July and beginning of August 2005.
